Internships at Local Governments and Businesses

Local government and business internship programming offers students in all disciplines the opportunity to apply for positions in various corporate, non-profit, governmental, and small business settings.

We connect SOCHEintern candidates with employers throughout Ohio and the U.S. We are looking for driven and passionate degree-seeking students of all majors including STEM, Machinist, Business, Marketing, Communications, and Graphic Design.

How to Apply

During the application process, you’ll have an opportunity to select the program(s) that are right for you. A resume and unofficial transcript are required to submit an application.

Once your application is processed, (allow 1-2 days), you can review available positions through the SOCHEintern Application Portal or automatically be considered for internship opportunities as they become available.

New internship opportunities are added constantly but due to the nature of some of our contracts, we cannot post all open internship positions. SOCHEintern Program Managers are constantly reviewing our database for applications to hand along to employers. We encourage you to apply even if you do not see a position of interest posted on our site at this time.

To be eligible for regional internships through SOCHEintern, you must be a degree-seeking student in good academic standing.
